Waiting on Wednesday: Cinderella Screwed Me Over

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly event, hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My pick for this week is Cinderella Screwed Me Over by Cindi Madsen which releases October 22, 2013.

 

I’ve had my eye on this book for a while…first, the title ROCKS, second when I got a look at the cover…so much pretty! Then last night, I spent a couple of hours with the lovely Ms Madsen at a Facebook party where we (along with five other authors) talked about our upcoming releases with readers, shared blurbs and special excepts. After reading the (much-too-short!) excerpt of CSMO, I was even more “grabby hands” about this book. Sounds utterly delightful!
Summary: 

Darby Quinn has a bone to pick with Cinderella. Burned one too many times by ex-boyfriends, Darby has lost all belief in the happily-ever-after that the fairy-tale princess promised her. She’s sworn off love, Prince Charmings, and happy endings and she’s happy about it. Really. Or at least she was…until she met Jake, her gorgeous neighbor and the manager of her favorite restaurant. But Darby has rules about dating, ones she’s culled from her years spent with so-called “princes,” and starting something with Jake would break all of them.

Charming, fun, and unwilling to give up on her, Jake doesn’t fit any of the profiles Darby has created from her case studies of ex-princes-gone-bad. Finally presented with her own Prince Charming, can Darby take a chance on a happily-ever-after?

Full of wit and sarcastic humor, Cinderella Screwed Me Over proves that sometimes the perfect love, like a perfect pair of shoes, is just within your grasp.

I’m in a giving mood today, so I figured I would share another song from the DEFINITELY, MAYBE IN LOVE playlist. I know…I’m a giver.

Spring loves music, and she’s kind of got a thing for angry chick rock. You know how it is, sometimes it’s nice to get in your car and blast a little Alanis. We’ve all been there. Here’s a little honey from Kelly Clarkson. Girl friend not only wales, but she can also write one mean hate song.
