We’ve been writing about this awesome boy band for a while now, but we haven’t found a band name that we truly LOVE, know what I mean? So we decided to turn to you, boy-band connoisseurs, and avid readers to help us find the perfect one. Best of all? The winner will get a $25 gift card AND their whole name mentioned in one or more of the BACKSTAGE PASS books! Yes, oh yes! It’s the best time of the year for the BEST OF 2014! People, this was a huge decision for me. Too many amazing books this year! Sensory, bookerly overload! So what I did was picked one of my favorite authorly friends, and picked one of my favorite books of her’s from 2014. One lucky entry will snag a digital copy of this little pretty. So, without further ado. 

Drum roll, please….

Dakota Halifax loves to be in love. In fact, as one of Las Vegas’s premier wedding planners, she’s built a whole career around romance. Which is why her own wedding has to be nothing short of perfect. And then her fiancé jilts her. While she’s waiting in her wedding dress. On a cruise ship already out at sea.

Once back on dry land, Dakota tries to pour her heart into her business and weekly wedding advice column, Get Ready to Wed. But how can the heartbroken celebrate others’ true love? When she reconnects with her childhood best friend, surprisingly sexy and all-grown-up casino bouncer Brendan West, Dakota wonders if maybe she can fall back in love with being in love.

But then her ex reappears, begging for another chance, and suddenly Dakota questions if she’ll ever understand love. Can someone once-burned and twice-shy ever find her way down the aisle again?

Who doesn’t love a great wedding book, right?

I love everything about Halloween. The fall weather, the costumes, the candy, and especially the spooky movies. I watched a real goodie just last night. Insidious. Anyone seen it? Eek! My favorites are the classics, like the Friday the 13th series, the original Carrie, or a great Hitchcock. Psycho is still my #1. Anyway, Happy Halloween, all my pagan friends. Today’s the day! I’m sending my brand new baby, SOMEDAY MAYBE, out into the world. ~throws confetti~ I’m so proud and excited for this book. Just take a look at this pretty:

It was overwhelming. Without him doing a thing, I’d never felt so taken care of. It was then that I realized it wasn’t just a freshman fling. Oliver loved me, like real love, like when no one is looking and when you have nothing to gain but you give and you love and you sacrifice and cherish. That’s what he was offering me as he held me against his beating heart.
